AUGIndy
- AUGIndy is much more than just another faceless organization promoting Autodesk products, though. We are people in professions that demand the most of our time and efforts to in order to produce accurate and effective design documentation. It just so happens that we utilize the products that Autodesk develops and we have a common interest in furthering our skill sets and improving our efficiency.
- In AUGIndy, we educate ourselves. It is a peer-based organization where we all contribute to everyone’s understanding and future achievements. However, there is no need to feel pressured to lead a meeting in discussion or come up with meeting materials, as AUGIndy utilizes an open discussion environment and each member’s input leads to the overall success of the meetings. Even with members who work for companies that are direct competitors, we understand that we all stand to benefit far more from each other as a whole than we could possibly contribute individually.
- The typical AUGIndy meeting opens with new introductions before leading into the predetermined discussion topic. The presentation of the main topic usually last an hour and is open for related questions throughout. After the main topic has been completed, the meeting usually evolves into an open forum on the problems members have had over the past month with particular features or an extension of further discussion into the main topic at greater detail as guided by the questions being offered.
It is worth noting again that AUGIndy is a nonprofit organization that requires absolutely nothing of its participants other than their time for attending a meeting once a month. Although everyone is encouraged to do so at some point, no one is required to lead a discussion or participate in any way above watching and listening. We would appreciate you taking the opportunity to join us at least once so we can enjoy your presence, meet new members of the Autodesk user community, and possibly convince you that AUGIndy is a group you’d like to be a part of. With each other’s help, we all become greater at what we do.
If you plan on attending one of our meetings and/or would like to be included in our meeting reminder emails, go to the Meeting Sign-Up page and fill out the form.
