RUGIndy August Meeting

You normally see me posting updates about the AUGIndy meetings here in Indianapolis. Well, I’m adding another user group to the list that I’ll try to post updates about, RUGIndy. RUGIndy is the Revit User Group of Indianapolis and covers everything from Revit Architecture, Structure, MEP and also dives into the world of Navisworks. From time to time, they also discuss AutoCAD Architecture and MEP, but mostly as a source of comparison to the Revit products. This is a very well supported and attended user group that I highly suggest …

Rand Worldwide and Avatech Solutions Merger

It is quickly becoming common knowledge that two of the largest Value Added Resellers (VAR) for Autodesk software have just made a huge impact on the entire industry by merging. Indydrafter.com Turns 1

It has been one heck of a crazy year. On this day in 2009, I finally launched Indydrafter.com to existence. It was without fanfare and I didn’t have a clue of what I was getting myself into. All I knew was that I had a lot rattling around in my head for a long time and I wanted to share it. After planning for several months, I registered the Indydrafter.com domain name, purchased a host service, deployed a decent looking WordPress template and thought I had it made. Boy was …

Preferred Internet Browsers For Best Indydrafter.com Experience

There are several internet browsers out there. To name just a few: Google Chrome (my favorite), Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and the many versions of Internet Explorer (IE6, IE7, and IE8 in particular). Everyone of these browsers interprets and renders the code on website pages differently, which can cause some problems in your experiences of some website features. I’ll spare you the details, but the 2 browsers that cause the most problems for Indydrafter.com are Internet Explorer 6 and 8.
With IE6, there really isn’t any option aside from just dealing …
