Autodesk 2011 Release Events

There are simply too many webcasts, meetings, live events, and seminars to list on the Indydrafter event calendar. Every reseller and organization is participating from Avatech Solutions, to AUGI and all the bloggers are abuzz. Check the links below for a compiled list of events going on throughout the U.S.

Download Your Next Autodesk Install

An announcement was made by the Autodesk Labs Blog concerning a change in the way most Autodesk customers will receive and install their software. With the tremendous development of technology over the past several years, it is now viable and effective to download software online. Autodesk is taking an ‘eco-friendly’ (see: ‘cost-saving’) move to reduce the amount of installation discs they distribute to customers.

More on AU 2009

Autodesk University 2009 was by all definitions a success.  Everyone that I’ve talked to, whether they were in Las Vegas or attending via the AU Virtual events, had a great time and walked away from the experience with an improved knowledge of the programs we work with daily, more connections and friends, and much more.  I covered all this last week when I posted my reactions to Autodesk University 2009 here.  That’s all fine a good, but there are two sides to every story.

Autodesk University 2009

Autodesk University (Las Vegas) is over, the AU Extension events are wrapping up, and Autodesk is gearing to update the AU Online website in short order to contain all of the AU Virtual (AUv) screencasts, handouts, materials, and course descriptions for AU 2009. It has been a pretty big success this year with the roll-out of AUv and the incorporation of Twitter into socially connecting everyone in Las Vegas and around the world.

The time for taking the Autodesk Subscription Survey is almost over. There are only 2 days left to vote. Whether you use AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Architecture, MEP, Structural, or even 3Ds and the rest of the Autodesk software catalog-Let us know when and how you update your licenses.
