New/Changed Features
Some of you may have come back to Indydrafter.com and seen some changes recently. First, but probably least important, I’ve added a new stylized page header. The next major change that I have made is eliminating the “News” and “LAUG-IC” navigation tabs in favor of “News and “LAUG-IC” categories. This aids in posting running information in a blog format, which will allow better cataloging of posts, a quick tag search for specific topics, and easier navigation through the pages giving the readers the choice of seeing all posts together or within their respective category. You can find the new category navigation links on the right side-bar of the page.
I’ve also added some plug-in and widget utilities to the page that are a little less noticeable, but provide for a more user-friendly site. I won’t go through all of the details on these features as there are about 20, but you’ll surely benefit from them as the need arises. I’ve also taken the opportunity to resolve some small issues involving avatars displaying, adding a “favicon” icon, which you can see next to the explorer tab. All of this is in an effort to give you the best experience possible on Indydrafter.com.
The last major change that I made is the addition of a forum. This is easily noticeable from the “Forum” navigation tab at the top of the page and will grant a much richer experience for the readers and contributors alike. Whether you have questions, complaints, compliments, or answers about AutoCAD, CAD Management, or the site itself – this forum will meet your needs. I’m going to attempt a very hands-on role in moderating the forums as a whole initially. Depending on how popular and active the forum becomes, I may recruit some of the more involved contributors to be moderators on a volunteer basis. We’ll see how all of that goes, but for now it will be on me.
Thanks for visiting and your patience,
Bryan
