Great New Features
Here at Indydrafter.com, I like to provide as many relevant and helpful features as possible. So it occurred to me, what better feature to have during these trying times than a job board that features available CAD specific jobs. Well, that’s exactly what I’ve done. You’ll find a new navigation tab at the top of the page for “Jobs“. It’s default is set to CAD jobs in the Indianapolis/Central Indiana area, but it can quickly give you a customized search by entering any description and location you wish.
A bonus feature is the availability for employers to post an advertisement for any positions they are looking to fill. Any and all employers or HR managers out there looking for a place to recruit new, skilled help need look no further than Indydrafter.com. Not only will your ads be displayed on the job board page, but it will also be included in an upcoming new feature of Indydrafter.com: Newsletters. Please email me at admin@indydrafter.com for any Requests For Information and questions about pricing.
You may also notice an additional sidebar to the right of the page. I’ve decided that I needed to customize my website template to accommodate better navigation and usability. Seeing as I’ve added features such as polls, random posts links, etc. the sidebar was getting a little long and created an environment that required too much scrolling.
An added benefit to this additional space is that it created some room for advertisements. I’ve purposely and deliberately have chosen ads that relevant to the information on Indydrafter.com and placed them where they would not interfere with the readability of the site. I’m going to continue testing different advertisement schemes to find the best mix of ads that are helpful to you, the reader, allow for fast page loading, and are placed in a convenient and unobtrusive location. I’m not looking to get rich here, I would just like to cover my costs and don’t want to ask for donations as some sites do.
Two more features that I’ve added are a “Sitemap“ page for even more navigation options and a “Raves” page for featured comments/complaints/compliments about the site and other tutorials that I’ve done. The site map was an obvious addition as it is a typical feature of any good and reputable website. The raves page was added to draw new readers in by listing what others have said advocating the work that I’ve done. Drawing a larger readership is an important aspect of building a positive environment for networking with peers and continuing quality posts. Feel free to comment, complain, or compliment Indydrafter.com articles and site features on any page of this website that features a comment section.
I’ll continue to update the featured comments on the page as I have opportunities to review them. Undoubtedly, I’ll only feature comments that are complimentary in fashion, but feel free to remark in any way within the comments sections because I’d like to attend to any and all problems or suggested improvements to the site and I’ll respond in a timely manner. All I ask is that you avoid inappropriate comments and keep them related to the subject matter or I’ll have to moderate them.
That’s it for now, but make sure to keep coming back to Indydrafter.com and bookmark it as a favorite site in your browser of choice (or just use one of the convenient bookmarking icons below every post). I appreciate your attention to the site and look forward to your return. Thanks.
