There is a new AutoCAD resources website in town and it’s name is Indydrafter.com. Take it how you want it–is it a twist on ‘indie’ for the independent drafters and designers out there, or is it for those in Indianapolis? Indydrafter.com is a site that will strive to benefit all in the design and drafting field whether that be Civil Engineering, Architectural, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Educational.

In the May Preview, I listed the AutoCAD Help Menu’s definition of what a Field is. Something a little more descriptive, and yet easier to understand, would be that a Field is a vehicle to link object, drawing, sheet set, and environmental data into text that can be read, understood, and updated dynamically with your drawing data.
